ST. LOUIS COUNTY — A man was shot and killed late Sunday on a residential street in Jennings.
Officers responded to a ShotSpotter activation just after 11:30 p.m. in the 2100 block of Fairhaven Drive, St. Louis County police said.
The ShotSpotter gunshot detection system uses microphones to pinpoint gunfire throughout the region.
Police said the officers found shell casings in the area.
Then, around midnight, a local hospital contacted police to tell them a man who had been shot was pronounced dead upon arrival at the emergency room, police said.
