RENSSELAER, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- The Renssealer Farmers' Market can begin enhancements to the market's infrastructure and connect with more farmers thanks to a $50,000 grant from the New York State Department of Agriculture and Markets. City officials said the grant will fund decorative surface paintings, additional picnic tables and benches, and more.
The Rensselaer Farmers' Market offers weekly activities, enertainment, and vendors from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Thursdays in Riverfront Park. Organized by City Clerk Nancy Hardt and her staff, there have been additional events at the market this year like a car show, wellness fair, foam party, and more to attract more people to the market.
