PEORIA ( 25News Now ) -Dozens of men answered a Sunday night call and lined the entrance into Manual High School Monday morning following a difficult week involving two nearby shootings.
Sunday night , Peoria Police Chief Eric Echevarria called on community members to support the students and families of Manual High School by greeting them Monday morning as they walked into school.
This follows two shooting incidents that happened near the high school.
The first was a shooting on Wednesday that injured a 15-year-old in the 800 block of South Griswold Street.
The second was on Friday, which resulted in no injuries but caused damage to the school.
