An Evansville woman was arrested over the weekend after she was seen punching a young child in the face multiple times.

EPD says 35-year-old Brandy Gahl was seen pinning the child against a wall and punching them.

Officers say she appeared to be intoxicated and tried to run after being arrested and put in handcuffs.

She’s been charged with domestic battery, neglect, resisting law enforcement, public intoxication and escape.
