CINCINNATI (WXIX) - A former peewee football coach accused of shooting at two people during a game in 2024 was found not guilty in the case Monday.
Lamont Ragan, 30, was found not guilty of all the charges he faced.
The charges against Ragar included multiple counts of felonious assault, one count of attempted murder, two counts of inducing panic, and two counts of discharge of a firearm on or near prohibited premises.
Ragan was the coach of the West End Elite Royals when Cincinnati police said he shot and injured an opposing coach and a parent after a fight occurred during a peewee football game in October 2024.
Cincinnati Police Lt. Chantia Miller said an argument escalated into a shooting toward the end of the game around 7:30 p.m. on Oct. 20, 2024.
