COLUMBUS (WXIX) - Religious leaders and several organizations delivered a letter to Ohio Gov. Mike DeWine asking him to intervene in the detainment and possible deportation of a Cincinnati immigrant.

Friends, officials and advocates from Greater Cincinnati and across Ohio advised that the life of Ayman Soliman - a former Cincinnati Children’s Hospital chaplain and local imam - is at risk as he faces another immigration hearing in Cleveland Tuesday, Aug. 26.

It is anticipated that a Cleveland Immigration Court judge will determine if he is removable from the U.S., according to Tala Ali, a friend and colleague to Soliman.
