HENDERSON, Ky. (WFIE) - The body of the man believed to be responsible for the disappearance of Heather Teague has been exhumed in Henderson.
Police say Marty Dill killed himself days after Teague went missing, before police could arrest him.
Tuesday will mark 30 years since Teague disappeared from Newburgh beach.
Her mother, Sarah, has fought tirelessly for answers for the last three decades.
14 News spoke with her Monday, before we heard of the development with Dill.
Kentucky State Police say the exhumation happened Monday to collect his DNA.
Isaac Calvert is working on this story, and he’ll have reports tonight on 14 News.
