A Tickfaw man is accused of shooting a teenager who was seven months pregnant during a road rage attack, the Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff's Office said.

The 17-year-old victim remains hospitalized in critical condition with a gunshot wound to her head, the Sheriff's Office said. The baby was delivered in an emergency C-section and is doing well, the Sheriff's Office said.

Barry West, 54, was booked into the Tangipahoa Parish Jail Sunday on four counts of attempted second-degree murder, one count of illegal use of a weapon and obstruction of justice, authorities said.
