BARTLETT, Texas — One person is in custody following an alleged standoff with a barricaded suspect in Bartlett, according to the Bell County Sheriff's Office.

The Bell County Sheriff's Office SWAT team, the Williamson County Sheriff's Office and the Bartlett Police Department all reportedly responded to the scene following an alleged shooting on Monday, Aug. 25.

The Bell County Sheriff's Office stated authorities deployed gas and entered the home, rescuing one woman inside and taking another person into custody.

Authorities said the woman is safe and there have been no injuries reported at this time. Investigators are reportedly working to determine if the incident was a hostage situation.
