GRAND FORKS — Grand Forks Fire Department responded to a reported structure fire at 1016 Cherry St. at approximately 9:17 a.m. Monday morning.
When fire crews arrived, smoke and fire were coming from a detached garage in the rear of the residence, which was quickly extinguished by firefighters, according to a release from GFFD. The fire's cause was not found but was determined to be accidental. The fire and smoke damage were contained to the garage and its contents.
No residents or responders were injured during the incident.
The GFFD responded with five engines, one truck and a command vehicle with 21 personnel.
