DECATUR, Ga. — A new $17 million recreation facility was announced in the City of Lithonia on Monday afternoon.

The Lucious Sanders Recreation Center will serve as a hub for intergenerational wellness, learning, and engagement for residents in Lithonia and District 5.

The new 24,087 square foot center will include a multi-court gymnasium for various indoor sports, along with fitness and wellness studios.

It will also include multipurpose rooms for arts, crafts, and educational programs, as well as a technology lab and digital learning spaces.
