GREENVILLE, S.C. (FOX Carolina) - The South Carolina Law Enforcement Division (SLED) charged a Greenville woman with committing insurance fraud in 2024 on Monday.

According to arrest warrants, Kashina Marshe Sullivan, 37, was in a car accident on May 30, 2024. After the accident, she obtained an insurance policy using a fake identity and filed two separate insurance claims for the preexisting damages.

The claims Sullivan submitted would have potentially exposed her insurance company to over $55,000 total. Her claims were denied.

Sullivan was charged with the following:

Presenting a false claim for insurance payment between $2,000 and $10,000

Financial identity fraud

Insurance misrepresentation $50,000 or more

Sullivan was booked into the Greenville County Detention Center.
