COLUMBIA, S.C. – The University of South Carolina received confirmation today that transfer running back Rahsul Faison has been granted an additional year of eligibility and will be available to compete in the 2025 season.

Faison spent the 2024 season at Utah State where he earned second team All-Mountain West Conference honors after rushing 198 times for 1,109 yards and eight touchdowns. He ranked fourth in the MWC in rushing at 92.4 yads per game and posted five 100-yard rushing games.

Faison and the Gamecocks will open the 2025 season on Sunday, Aug. 31, when they travel to Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta to face the Virginia Tech Hokies in the AFLAC Kickoff Game. Game time is set for 3 pm ET and the game will be televised nationally on ESPN.
