Labor Day, celebrated on the first Monday of each September, marks the unofficial end of summer for millions of hard working Americans.
For some, the celebration includes a three day weekend, giving workers time to engage in barbecues, parades, and sales.
Schools and banks will be closed for the federal holiday, and delivery services like the U.S. Postal Service, Fed Ex, and UPS will pause to give workers a day of rest. However, there are plenty of retailers that will stay open in full swing.
