LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — A Nebraska man was arrested Saturday after authorities say he fired a gun at a car outside his home.
Around 7:30 p.m., deputies with the Lancaster County Sheriff’s Office were sent to a home near 96th Street and Wittstruck Road in rural Bennet.
According to the sheriff’s office, a 21-year-old man drove to the home to pick up an 18-year-old woman.
When the man arrived, 46-year-old Dale Hays fired a single round from a .243 scoped rifle at the car with the man inside.
The sheriff’s office said the bullet hit the ground in front of the car. The 21-year-old man then drove off.
According to the sheriff’s office, there was no prior argument between Hays and the 21-year-old.
