MENOMINEE TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WBAY) - A crash involving three vehicles resulted in an 85-year-old man dying over the weekend in Menominee Township, Michigan, authorities said.

The Menominee County Sheriff’s Office said Monday that deputies were called to a crash reported on Sunday around noon on County Road 577, near the intersection of Number 2 Road.

The sheriff’s office said witnesses told deputies that a southbound SUV crossed into the northbound lane of traffic and hit two oncoming pickup trucks, one of which was pulling a camper, before becoming disabled in the middle of the road.

The drivers of the two pickups had minor injuries. The SUV driver died from his injuries. He was identified as 85-year-old Gary Gene Nyman of Menominee Township.
