Wrestling fans have hit out after a WWE star made a 'cheap' joke about Ozzy Osbourne's death in Birmingham.

WWE Monday Night Raw is in Birmingham tonight (Monday, August 25) at bp pulse LIVE, formerly known as Resorts World Arena.

It's the first time WWE has been broadcast from Birmingham in 12 years.

But fans were left stunned after wrestler Becky Lynch made a 'disgusting' comment about the late Ozzy Osbourne, who hailed from Birmingham and died on July 22 this year.

She said to the crowd: "I am not wrestling in Birmingham. The only good thing that came out of here died a month ago.

"Ozzy Osbourne has the good sense to move to LA, a proper city. If I lived in Birmingham, I’d die too."

She then "scurried" from the ring, leaving fans "gasping".
