LISBON, Ohio (WKBN) — An East Liverpool man who was convicted of vehicular manslaughter was sentenced Monday.

Paul Vojnovich, 69, was sentenced to 180 days in jail and his driver's license was suspended for four years in connection with a 2023 pedestrian accident. He was also fined $500.

Vojnovich pleaded no contest earlier this month to a charge of vehicular manslaughter in the death of a 79-year-old pedestrian who was hit crossing St. Clair Avenue on April 7, 2023, in East Liverpool.

Police said Vojnovich told them he did not see the man.
