GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — The City of Grand Rapids Department of Parks and Recreation, along with the Midtown Neighborhood Association, will lead a community-wide effort to build a new $300,000 playground at Houseman Field this week.

The two-day construction event kicks off Wednesday, August 27, and continues through Thursday, August 28 at 162 Houseman Ave NE. Community volunteers will work alongside project partners to transform the playground space with modern equipment and amenities from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. both days.
