JACKSON, Miss. (WJTV) - A four-year-old boy was found deceased at an apartment complex in Jackson, according to police.

The incident occurred at an apartment complex on Greenfield Avenue on August 25, 2025. Detective Tommie Brown said a female was taken in for questioning.

Interim Hinds County Coroner Jeramiah Howard said the child had pre-existing medical conditions. His body was transported to the State Medical Examiner’s Office for an autopsy.

The child's cause of death is under investigation.
