WHEELING, W.Va. (WV News) — Sen. Shelley Moore Capito on Monday made stops in Wheeling, to discuss ongoing flood recovery efforts, and Parkersburg to tour the Wood County Resiliency Center.

Capito visited the Wheeling Armory and the FEMA Disaster Recovery Center established in response to the severe flooding that took place in the area in June.

She received a briefing from the Wheeling-Ohio Homeland Security and Emergency Management Agency and local officials on progress made when it comes to FEMA assistance and steps the community has taken.
