LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE) - A Clark County man has been arrested and accused of driving over 60 miles per hour over the speed limit while intoxicated.
According to Indiana State Police, around 3:45 p.m. on Sunday on State Road 62 near Charlestown, a trooper clocked a car heading eastbound at 117 mph in a 55 mph zone. Police said the driver quickly slowed down as he passed the trooper. The trooper pulled him.
Police said they arrested 40-year-old Derick Hihn of Charlestown for reckless driving after stopping him. While talking to police, the trooper said he saw possible signs of alcohol impairment and performed an OWI test. He was then charged additionally with OWI and OWI with endangerment.
