An 18-year-old who officials suspect was part of a gang has been indicted in connection with last year’s homecoming weekend shooting at Albany State University that left a metro Atlanta teenager dead and several others injured, officials said.

Jeremy Marshall is facing 29 charges, including three counts of murder, following the violence that erupted on two separate areas on campus on Oct. 19, 2024, Georgia Attorney General Chris Carr announced Monday.

The initial shooting happened in a crowded area near a campus concert, where a 16-year-old girl was shot in the calf and a 17-year-old girl was struck in the leg, officials said. A 20-year-old woman was also grazed by a bullet and other people were injured while fleeing, the AG’s office said.
