TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV)— Dr. Janie Myers was recently awarded the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) Unification Award from the American Osteopathic Association for her work in the DEI initiatives in the osteopathic community.

Dr. Myers has been a doctor for several years and is a firm believer that increasing minority representation in healthcare can help improve outcomes for entire communities. Dr. Myers is the founder and owner of Myers Surgical Associates, the only minority-owned healthcare facility in the Wabash Valley. She is also the only physician in Terre Haute to have the status of being a Distinguished Fellow of the American College of Osteopathic Surgeons.
