JACKSON COUNTY, Ga. (Atlanta News First) - A fatal accident has blocked a roadway in Jackson County early Monday morning.

According to the West Jackson Fire Department, the accident happened on Highway 53 at West Jackson Villas Apartments. At this time, all lanes are blocked.

The fire department says the road “will be blocked for some time,” and are encouraging motorists to find an alternate route.

No word has been given on how many people were involved in the crash nor the identity of any possible victims.
