ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) - A well-known Decatur cycling attorney and advocate died following a bike crash last week.
Ken Rosskopf died following a bike ride in which Decatur police said he was trying to make a turn and collided with a car near Ponce de Leon Place.
Many in the DeKalb County cycling community are mourning the loss of the 85-year-old.
His son, Joey Rosskopf, who is a professional cyclist, described his father as a legend in the community.
“He was always active, huge in the cycling community,” Joey said. “I’ve had childhood friends, cycling friends, I’ve raced for a long time, so former teammates, they’re all reaching out. So it makes you realize how big of an impact he had on everyone’s life.”
