COLUMBIA, S.C. — The South Carolina Gamecocks have gotten a major boost in their backfield, as the NCAA has finally paved the way for a talented transfer running back to play for the team.
Running back Rahsul Faison has officially been cleared by the NCAA to play this season, granting him a seventh year of eligibility and ending months of uncertainty about his status.
Faison, a transfer from Utah State, joins an already talented and crowded running back room in Columbia. Last season, he was named an All-Mountain West selection after rushing for 1,109 yards and establishing himself as one of the top playmakers in the conference.
