Two construction organizations in London are receiving over $2.6 million from the province to expand training for skilled trades.

During his second formal stop in the city on Monday, Ontario Premier Doug Ford made the announcement joined by Mayor Josh Morgan, Elgin-Middlesex-London MPP and Municipal Affairs Minister Rob Flack, Lambton-Kent-Middlesex MPP Steve Pinsonneault , and Mohamed Firin, parliamentary assistant to the labour minister.

“We’re going to keep investing now no matter what the mayor needs or wants, as long as it produces more homes and produces more jobs,” Ford said at a condo construction site in Pond Mills. “We’re going to keep making sure that we create the environment for companies to come here and invest.”
