Early Sunday, around 1 a.m., Cuyahoga County sheriff’s deputies tried to stop a vehicle at St. Clair Avenue and East 13th Street for driving recklessly and a suspected OVI, but it sped off.
Deputies got permission to chase it from a supervisory officer per department policy, a spokesperson said.
Then the suspect’s vehicle struck an uninvolved vehicle at Addison Road, killing the 37-year-old female driver.
