RICHMOND, Ky. (WKYT) - Three people have been arrested for criminal abuse in Richmond after a missing person investigation.

A 14-year-old family member was reported missing on saturday.

Police say there were abuse allegations against Jay Wood, the 14-year-old’s grandfather, along with complaints that the home was in poor condition.

During a search of the home, officers found animal feces and bed bugs.

According to an arrest citation, the child was taken to the hospital, where he said Woods punched him several times during an argument.

The child said Daniel Hodges and Minnie Ginter knew about the assault and did not call the police.

All three are charged with criminal abuse, Wood is also charged with assault and strangulation. Each will have a preliminary hearing on September 3.
