OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) - A big bundle of bills rolled into one public safety measure was signed into law by Nebraska Gov. Jim Pillen Monday morning.

Pillen signed LB530 , the bill highlights juvenile justice reform measures.

It also redefines the term “reckless driving,” provides a requirement for drivers approaching or passing a car in trouble, and changes fines and penalties and a number of other public safety issues.

“Whether it’s repeat juvenile offenders, or reckless drivers, of fentanyl overdose dealers, or fatal collision suspects. This is one of the most comprehensive public safety slates of bills that I have seen passed in recent history,” said Douglas County Sheriff Aaron Hanson.
