The Broncos on Monday apparently sorted out their running back room by waiving Audric Estime and Blake Watson.

The moves were made after the NFL's official transaction report came out at 2 p.m., but sources said they will be on Tuesday's official report. The deadline is 2 p.m. Tuesday for teams to set their intial 53-man regular-season roster.

Estime was a fifth-round pick by Denver in 2024. Watson was on the 53-man roster last season as an undrafted free agent. He was waived with an injury designation after suffering a knee strain in last Saturday's 29-18 win over New Orleans in the preseason finale that was described as a short-term injury.

Sources said the Broncos want both running backs on their practice squad if they clear waivers and choose to return.
