SPOKANE COUNTY, Wash. — A Spokane County resident is presumed to have measles after being in an area previously identified for high-risk exposure and developing symptoms consistent with the disease, according to the Spokane Regional Health District (SRHD).
The health district’s communicable disease investigation and prevention team is working to identify additional exposure sites and expects to receive confirmation of the case by Aug. 27.
“Spokane Regional Health District’s communicable disease investigation and prevention team is moving forward with community notices of additional high-risk exposure areas,” officials said in a press release.
