DAVENPORT, Iowa (KWQC) - Only pictures remain of Cory Harrell while his family seeks justice in the meantime.

Cory leaves behind a son who has to go through life without his dad.

“He asks his grandpa, he asks his papa. You know he asks questions, and I’m sure he has to grow up seeing pictures,” Corey’s cousin, the Rev. Tyson T. Parks III said.

Earlier this month, the Moline Police Department announced a massive break in the 29-year-old Trudy Appleby case .

But there are still other cold cases that Moline Police investigators hope to solve.

“What I want the public to know is that we may still have other cases out there that haven’t come to a close, but we don’t give up on these cases,” Moline Police Chief Darren Gault said.

One of those cases is of Cory Harrell Jr. of Moline. Harrel
