Former Cleveland Cavaliers and NBA All-Star Shawn Kemp was sentenced Friday to 30 days of electronic home monitoring in connection with a 2023 shooting in Washington state.
Kemp, 55, must submit to home monitoring within two weeks of his sentencing, according to The Seattle Times . He was also sentenced to one year of community custody, another term for parole, and 240 hours of community service.
Kemp, a six-time NBA All-Star, pleaded guilty in May to second-degree assault as part of a plea agreement in Pierce County Superior Court in Tacoma, according to the prosecutor’s office. He was initially charged with one count of first-degree assault with a firearm enhancement before prosecutors added an additional count of first-degree assault as well as one drive-by shooting charge.
The
