MANCHESTER, N.H. —

The University of New Hampshire Police Department said a report of an active shooter on the Durham Campus Monday was a hoax.

Police said the false report was centered around Dimond Library.

Around 6:30 p.m., authorities responded to a report of shots fired in the library.

The building was thoroughly searched, and police confirmed there was no active threat to the community.
