GRAND FORKS – The air was full with the scent of french fries, enhanced by the heady aura of success and celebration, as hundreds of people filled Town Square for “A Taste of Belgium” on Monday, Aug. 25.

The event came on the heels of the official signing of a formal development agreement between Agristo, the Belgium-based potato processing company, and the city earlier that day at City Hall.

The agreement solidifies Agristo’s plans to build its first North American facility on Grand Forks’ north side. The $450 million plant is expected to bring between 300 and 350 jobs to Grand Forks.
