ISLE OF PALMS, S.C. (WCBD) - Peter Giusti is safe after surveillance video shows two good Samaritans rescuing him from his car after it got stuck in an Isle of Palms creek Saturday.

During heavy rain Saturday night, Giusti says there was almost no visibility during the storm. He made a right turn, about to arrive at his destination, when all of a sudden, his car was submerged deep into Morgan Creek.

"I say I'm okay, but I can't get it out of my head," Giusti said. "The two people... they saved my life. Period. I was underwater."

Giusti is a local ride-share driver and was making his last stop of the night. He was picking up a group stranded in the rain.

"I said okay, I'll take them because nobody's going to go down and get them," Giusti said. "It was raining so hard, it was so dark out
