HUNTINGTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) - The city of Huntington is now joining a program that will offer more transparency to the public.

Mayor Patrick Farrell announced on Monday that the city is now joining the West Virginia Checkbook Program. The program will allow people to see financial transactions made by the city, including budgets and records.

Huntington City Council also approved a TIF district in the Highlawn neighborhood, which will help to direct funding for future public improvement projects.
