LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE) - Officials gave an update about homes that lost ground after historic flooding. Back in April, at least t hree Harrods Creek cliffside properties experienced rapid erosion following the floods.
Louisville Metro Emergency Services now says no homes will be condemned after the properties were evaluated.
A specialized contractor has been hired to stabilize the ground behind the homes to try and stop more erosion. The process is expected to take several weeks to months to complete.
Officials said there has been no cost to the homeowner and the cost will likely be paid out with a partnership with federal grant money and Louisville Metro.
