PLEASANT GROVE — A man was rescued by helicopter on Mount Timpanogos Monday morning after authorities say he crashed a paraglider on the mountain.
Sgt. Ray Ormond with the Utah County Sheriff’s Office said the accident happened at approximately 8:50 a.m.
Ormond said Utah County Search and Rescue was called to help the man. Emergency crews decided to lift the man with a helicopter, because he had possibly broken his leg.
The helicopter reportedly hoisted the man off the mountain at approximately 10:30 a.m., and he was taken to a nearby hospital.
