COLFAX COUNTY, N.M. —
Visitors to Eagle Nest Lake are being asked to use caution due to potentially harmful algae bloom forming.
The New Mexico Environment Department collected samples that show harmful algae present. NMED is urging visitors to the lake to take these precautions:

Do not drink untreated surface water.
Avoid swimming in algae blooms and keep pets out of the water.
Supervise children and pets, as they are more likely to ingest water.
