GRANT COUNTY, N.M. —
Four Grant County Sheriff's Office deputies have been fired after video surfaced of a rabbit being thrown against a patrol vehicle.
The rabbit died after being thrown. The deputy who reported the action was also among those let go from GCSO.
Deputy Alejandro Gomez is accused of throwing the rabbit, according to court documents. Gomez is charged one count of extreme cruelty to animals.
The agency did not release any other details other than confirming the terminations.
