SPRINGFIELD, Mo. (KY3) - You know when you have storm damage, you want to pick up the pieces, immediately.

If you have downed trees and limbs, it can sometimes take a few days to get things back to normal. A group of neighbors in south Springfield couldn’t clean up from the June 29th storm. That is, until they reached out to On Your Side.

“It went at an angle. Injured this tree. Took down two different fences and landed in our yard,” said David Buhr as he pointed out a June 29 tree casualty.

“You see, a pole is halfway down and it’s coming on the lines. So that neighbor is impacted as well. At least four or five neighbors are impacted by it,” he said.

The tree is gone, but botched fences remain. Not by choice.

“No one will fix fences unless the lines are up,” said Buhr.
