A 12-foot bronze statue of retired quarterback Tom Brady, unveiled earlier this month outside Gillette Stadium, was crafted by sculptor Jeff Buccacio, a lifelong New England Patriots fan.

"We felt as though it was a big responsibility," Buccacio said. "We had seen what had happened, unfortunately, with some other statues in the recent past and how they were received, and we really wanted to make sure that we did our very best."

For 11 months, Buccacio, his wife Nina, and their team in Canton worked nonstop to perfect every detail of the statue. They hoped to create a monument that speaks to Patriots fans who witnessed the dynasty and those who will learn about it in history books.

"The Patriots were very, they were very clear about what they wanted this to represent," Buccacio said. "
