MADISON, Wis. (WMTV) -Parents know going back-to-school can come with its challenges and when English is not your first language, it can be especially difficult to navigate what you need to get your child ready for school.
Soly Rodriguez wants students to have a great start to the school year.
“It’s so important because if they succeed, we succeed,” Rodriguez said. “If they fail in any way, it’s our failure.”
As the Middleton-Cross Plains Area School District’s multilingual support specialist she is making things easier for families with English as their second language.
“Imagine coming from another country and not having the same money, the same education, the things that you had in your country, and it’s all totally different,” Rodriguez explained.
