LOGANSPORT, Ind. — A Kentucky man is in jail after a crash seriously injured two people in Cass County Friday night.

According to the Cass County Sheriff's Department, a 19-year-old Bainbridge, Indiana woman was driving east on US 24/US 35 around 11:40 p.m. Friday, Aug. 22 when she turned north into the crossover at County Road 325 East, east of Logansport. She crossed into the westbound lanes of US 24/US 35, failing to yield to a westbound Chevy Silverado, which struck her vehicle.

A sheriff's deputy said he had clocked the Silverado at 85 mph shortly before the crash.

The 19-year-old and her 11-year-old passenger were extricated from the vehicle by firefighters and flown to separate Indianapolis hospitals with serious injuries.
