There was some character built by the Milwaukee Brewers on Monday night, Aug. 25.
Sure, it would have been nice to roll to a blowout victory over a stripped-down but still very good Arizona Diamondbacks team at American Family Field – and it certainly seemed as though the game was headed that way in the early going.
But a tough sixth inning for Brandon Woodruff in which the Diamondbacks shrunk a six-run Brewers lead down to one turned the final three into a battle that ultimately Milwaukee was up for, with Aaron Ashby taking the ball and settling the game down, Caleb Durbin providing a little more breathing room with an eighth-inning homer and Abner Uribe finishing the deal in a 7-5 victory .
