When seven-year-old Peanut was transferred to the Humane Society of Broward County in Florida, staff and volunteers quickly realized she was a bit of a mystery. No one knew much about her past.

However, she soon captured their hearts with her irresistible personality. Peanut was a wonderful pup who had a lot of love to give.

Shortly after her arrival at the shelter, staff noticed a habit that made them love her even more.

Looking For A Loving Family

Peanut found her own way of coping with the stressful, noisy shelter environment.

Whenever the staff and volunteers gave her stuffed toys, she would carry them in her mouth for hours. They gave her comfort and made her feel relaxed .
