The man who caused an hours-long police standoff in Harrisburg City on Monday has been identified.

Daniel D. Wilson, 34, is wanted on multiple charges, including first-degree attempted murder, in Jersey City, New Jersey, according to online court records. The incident took place the night of Aug. 19, and his warrant was issued by Jersey City Municipal Court on Aug. 20.

Wilson’s full charges include attempted murder, three illegal weapons charges, and attempted aggravated assault.

He was charged by the Jersey City Police Department.

Dauphin County District Attorney Fran Chardo identified Wilson as the man whom police captured.

Harrisburg police taped off an area at 4th and Peffer streets for several hours on Monday afternoon before the standoff ended with an arrest.
